Please note: During the CSA season the order deadline for delivery of your Marketplace Order is by 1PM the day before your CSA delivery except for Mushroom and Sweet Corn Orders. Mushroom and Sweet Corn orders must be received by the farm by Friday noon for delivery. Orders received after the deadline will be delivered the following CSA delivery week. You will receive an e-mail confirmation and reminder of your Marketplace order.
The Dry Beans are Certified Organic and New York State grown. There are three varieties of dry beans in the Dry Bean Share: Organic Black Turtle Beans, Organic Pinto Beans, Organic Cannellini Beans.
Each month the Dry Bean Share will consists of three bags per delivery.
The Dry Bean Share per monthly delivery:
one 24 oz. (1.5 pounds) bag Black Turtle Beans,
one 24 oz. (1.5 pounds) Pinto Beans and
one 24 oz. (1.5 pounds) bag of Cannellini Beans
The Dry Bean Share is delivered the first CSA delivery of each month during the CSA season with your Vegetable Share, a total of 6 monthly Dry Bean Share deliveries per season. The Dry Bean Share price reflects a discounted price per pound.

Dry Beans by the bag are also offered for order from the CSA Marketplace and delivered with the CSA shares weekly during the CSA season. There are four varieties of dry beans available through the CSA Marketplace: Organic Black Turtle Beans, Organic Pinto Beans, Organic Cannellini Beans, Organic Red Kidney Beans. The beans are in 24 oz (1.5 pound) bags.

Pinto Beans grown in Penn Yan, NY.
Pinto beans are a low-fat source of protein and dietary fiber. Pinto beans also provide a good amount of iron. Pinto beans are the ultimate bean to have on hand in the pantry. This is truly an all-purpose bean!

Cannellini Beans , grown in Penn Yan, NY.
Cannellini beans can also be referred to as White Kidney Beans or fagioli and haricots blancs. They have a nutty, earthy flavor and creamy texture and tender flesh. Cannellini beans are wonderfully nutritious. They're fat free and high in protein, fiber, and iron.
Cooking Ideas: Cannellini beans can be used interchangeably with other white beans and they're excellent in many dishes, especially soups, stews, chilis and puréed bean spreads or dips. Because they hold their shape better than other white beans, they are a favorite for ragouts and bean salads. They are often used in Italian dishes like Minestrone. Popular in Italian, Greek and French cuisines.
