Native to North America, Summer Savory is an herb similar to Winter Savory although it has a milder flavor. Summer Savory is used in many dried herb mixtures for stuffing and meat dishes.
Easy to dry by hanging the bunch in a cool, dry location. Remove the dried leaves from the stem and store in an air tight container after fully dry.
Summer savory is compatible with a wide array dishes, and is very much like thyme in its uses. The two can be easily used interchangeably. Summer Savory is one of the main ingredients in the herb blend, herbs de Provence and is commonly paired with beans, vegetables, pork, lamb, stuffing, and sauces.
