Refrigerator Pickles #3

Serves:   4
(serving size: quarts)

6 medium sized cucumbers, sliced thinly

3 medium sized onions, sliced thinly
1 medium size green pepper, chopped
1 medium size red pepper, chopped
2 cups white vinegar
3 cups sugar
1 TBS pickling salt
1 tsp pickling spice
1 tsp celery seeds


Prepare the vegetables, mix well and pack into clean jars.  

Combine the remaining ingredients in a medium size saucepan. Heat just until sugar dissolves.  Pour over the vegetables.  Chill at least 24 hours before eating.

These pickles will keep for a few months in the refrigerator.
