Refrigerator Pickles #1

4 cloves garlic

1 bunch dill
1 tsp mustard seed
5 cups water to 1 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup canning salt
Pickling Cucumbers


Wash the pickling cukes.  Double  or triple the recipe for the amount of jars you wish.

 Pack cucumbers in jars.  Heat the water, vinegar, sugar and salt until salt and sugar have dissolved.  Put garlic, dill and mustard seed in each jar.  Fill the jars to the top with the brine.  Refrigerate.  The pickels will be ready in 2 days and last up to 3 months in the refrigerator.  This recipe is for fresh refrigerator pickles and is not shelf stable.  Must be refrigerated.
