How to Roast Garlic

  • Cook Time:   30 minutes
  • Total Time:   35 minutes


Head of Garlic


Cut a slice off the top of the whole head of garlic, so the tips of the garlic cloves are visible. Make a cup out of aluminum foil, put the head of garlic into it, sprinkle with a little olive oil, and squeeze the sides of the foil cup so they are almost closed over the top of the garlic. Roast for 30 minutes, or until the garlic is tender. To use: squeeze the garlic cloves out of their husks. They can be used in any dish that calls for garlic. You can even spread the garlic puree on bread.
