Homemade Apple Sauce

Serves:   4
(serving size: 1/2 cup)

  • Prep Time:   15 minutes
  • Cook Time:   10 minutes
  • Total Time:   25 minutes



Cinnamon optional


Easy to make. Core apples and cut into chunks. Add a small amount of water to the bottom of a pan along with the apples. Each apple will make one serving of apple sauce.  Cover and steam until the apples are soft. Leave the skin of the apple on to impart a rosy pink color. Put the soft apples through a food mill or crush by hand with a potato masher for a chunky sauce. Sprinkle top with cinnamon.
