Dear CSA Members,
Here on the farm, we have been working early and shorter days to beat the heat. We have been planting, seeding, harvesting, weeding. Day after day! August is a busy month! We are very thankful to have the semi-normal summer weather return.
This week you will be getting the popular Shishito snacking pepper. And, here is interesting information I read since I heard some members last year saying they were spicy... "Shishitos are small, mild peppers from Japan. Their flavor is sweet and slightly smokey, not spicy—but careful! One in ten shishito peppers will be hot" - OLDWAYS
Also, Please send back any boxes, or green cartons to your CSA site (if your site allows, please double-check with them at pickup) we love to reuse as much as we can, and we are having to deal with packing supply shortages so it is really helpful for us to get back bags, and boxes. THANK YOU!
Enjoy the harvest!
